Most just assume that their home is safe for their beloved pet, but there are common items found in most homes that can be very harmful to your pet. Did you know that Avocado- Coffee - Chocolate - Onions: fresh and onion powder - Raisins and grapes - Most kinds of lilies - Mistletoe- Chives - Mushrooms - Are toxic to your pets Not to say, of course, that you shouldn´t have these items in your home BUT you should KEEP THEM OUT OF REACH OF YOUR PETS! You should also keep cleaners, gardening supplies, and of course antifreeze out of your pet´s reach. Cats and dogs love the taste of anti-freeze and it doesn´t take vey much of the sweet-tasting liquid to be lethal. Be sure that any weed killer or fertilizer you use on your yard is pet friendly. Don´t forget that your pet will likely walk on your beautiful green grass and any poison on your lawn will end up on their paws and then in their mouths.
